Welcome

The American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN), the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB), and the Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) with the support of the National Cancer Institute Center for Bioinformatics (NCICB) are collaborating in a multi-center trial of serial imaging and biopsy for women with locally advanced tumors who undergo neoadjuvant chemotherapy, entitled Investigation of Serial Studies to Predict Your Therapeutic Response with Imaging And moLecular analysis (I-SPY TRIAL).

The trial consists of nine cancer centers across the country and is being conducted to analyze the MRI images and molecular biomarkers of breast cancer biopsy samples to understand how individual tumors respond to chemotherapy at the molecular level and thus, if and how therapy should be altered – either as changes in regimen or as alternative treatments -- for each patient.
